Greetings! I pray everyone’s week is off to a great start. What a powerful time of worship we had yesterday! Thank you worship team for leading us during that time. If you haven’t already figured it out, yesterday’s sermon title, Mathetes is Greek for disciple. I pray the message was clear and concise; our core mission as a church body is to “make disciples who will make disciples!” And we define a “disciple” as someone who is:
- Following Jesus (Head)
- Being changed by Jesus (Heart)
- And who is committed to Jesus’ mission (Hands)
Please, write it down, hang it on your wall, and remind yourself frequently of it. Our job is to not only evangelize the lost in our community, it is to also help those following Jesus to reach spiritually maturity (discipleship). Everything we do as a church should be aligned with and support God’s mission to “seek and save” those who are lost. So, this week as we are “going,” lets being intentional in our efforts to “impact our community” with the gospel of Christ. The gospel ministry is a team sport… and every member has an important part as while some may “plant and others may water, let’s remember, it is God who brings the growth” (See 1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
Have a blessed day!
In Christ,
Pastor Jason
